Cranberry growing and harvesting is specialized work. It can be wasteful and toxic. But some Massachusetts farmers are planning their farms and bogs to work more in harmony with natural rhythms. They plan their farms so bogs are flooded consecutively and running downhill, saving water. They share water with other farms. Some even run the water through a natural wetland to purify it before returning it to its natural course. This work is what all good witches do.
